Swiss Cooperation Offices in Central Asia

Swiss Cooperation Offices (SCOs) in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are responsible for Swiss Development Cooperation activities in Central Asia. 

SCO in Dushanbe, Tajikistan employs 36 people. It oversees implementation of a number of national projects and of the Natural Disaster Reduction Programe in Central Asia.

SCO in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan employs 22 people. It oversees implementation of 15 national and two regional projects (Securities Market, Central Asian Mountain Partnership).

SCO in Tashkent, Uzbekistan employs 12 people. It oversees implementation of six national projects, plus all regional water sector projects in the Ferghana Valley.

Each SCO has its own Arts and Culture Programme.

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is a part of the Swiss Foreign Ministry.
The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) is part of the Swiss Ministry of Economic Affairs
