Welcome to the Swiss Cooperation Office Macedonia

Since Macedonia’s accession to independence and along its long transition towards a pluralistic democracy and a fully functioning market economy, Switzerland has tried to provide adequate support and cooperation. Programmes implemented since 1992 by both the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) have contributed not only to the transition process but also to establish strong links of cooperation between Swiss and Macedonian institutions, enterprises and civil society organisations. As it stands at present the Swiss Cooperation Programme is built on two domains of interventions: Rule of Law and Democracy and Water and Environment
