Swiss Development Cooperation in Tanzania

SDC activities started in the early 1960s with Education and Health projects. Activities intensified in 1981, when SDC opened the Cooperation Office in Dar es Salaam. Currently the Country Programme in Tanzania operates in the following areas: <>

  • Governance
  • Health
  • Private Sector Development (PSD) - Agriculture

The country office also supports Tanzanian artistic initiatives by sponsoring cultural activities.

Gender and HIV/AIDS are transversal aspects that are incorporated in all SDC supported activities
